Dimelo loco, dimelo. I’m still getting over how dope Meeting of Styles was this year and strongly recommend that you go check out the finished masterpieces down near the Lachine Canal at 1825 Cabot. If anybody out there reading this documented the event with photos or video, please contact me so we can let people know where to find it. Having murals done by legends like these artists is a true pleasure, and the all-round great vibes made this event truly one of a kind. For those of you who missed it, all I can say is don’t be so foolish next year.

Local design mag Urbania, known for its avant-garde visuals, content and layout, is throwing a party at le Manège des Fusiliers (des Pins/Henri-Julien) this evening, Sept. 10, at 5:30 p.m., celebrating the new Quebec Special Issue as well as their new Web site and the release of the QC12 documentary series. A lot of exciting stuff, not to be missed.

Futhamooore, Collège Montmorency in Laval is pulling out the big guns on Friday night with a mega-concert, part of the Festival de Musique du Monde, including performances by Omnikrom, Sans Pression, Poirier & Face-T, Empire Isis and Cobna. Same night, on the Main, we got French rapper Sinik taking hold of the mic at Decibel Underground with a helping hand from Kesta, 2Hardcore and 4Say.

On Saturday, you should come get a taste of Astro’s intergalactic monsters at le Sino Shop (2817 Ontario E.), where he’ll be opening a new exhibit that is sure to please the eye. You can follow that with a stop at les 3 Minots for Droppin’ Knowledge, a hip hop showcase of local talent including Fundament + Rolywra, Markit, Munshine, Fresh Kils & More or Les, Ghettosocks, DJ Irate and DJ Logichead. Sunday night is Il Motore for Bus Driver and Abstract Rude.
