God hates tranny-care

The American Christian Right has now come out against health-care reform with a rather simple argument: accepting Obama’s reforms is tantamount to forsaking the Lord.

The Minnesota Family Council says God “created the government to do certain things,” presumably wage war, pander to industry lobbyists and collect for Caesar that which is Caesar’s. “When we reject His design for government, we’re rejecting Him.” As examples of failure to heed God’s wisdom, the MFC cites the failed health systems of such socialist nations as the USSR and Canada.

While Focus on the Family merely wants to make sure abortion isn’t government funded, other Christian leaders, like Americans for Truth and the Christian Coalition of America, are aligned with Sarah Palin’s bizarre belief that “reforms” mean a federal “Death Panel” review board that will leave the elderly and disabled to die in the streets while transsexuals coast-to-coast show off shiny, new state-funded genitalia.

Alongside the equally wing-nutted Tea Party movement, the Health-Theists have been massing at congressional hearings across the U.S. for what the American Family Association warns is “the future of our country.”
