We’re gonna swing things into gear tonight with a little jam over at Reggies, Concordia’s on-campus bar, aka the field of dreams for my classic drunken hook-ups, going down tonight with three amigos the Moustache Men. They’re celebrating the release of the HyperCOLOR mixtape they put together and the newest from Color Magazine’s “next/best” issue. Freezies and grilled cheese sandwiches served all night but if you’re coming just for that, you gotta step your game up.

Friday night, the Trot the Fox weekly is going down at Green Room with lovely hosts Baby H and Baby W, as well as the bonecrushing, dragon-slaying Sleazy-E. Check the bootyshots blog for goodies and take their slogan to heart—God wouldn’t have given you maracas if he didn’t want you to shake ’em. Same night, we got A-Rock and Shaydakiss bringing Triangle Trouble to an otherwise innocent Salon Officiel for a Frogasmic night of fun.

Saturday… Heavy as my nuts in terms of underground classic shit with Brooklyn generals Smif N Wessun coming to rip the stage apart at le Belmont. Tek and Steele are sharing the bill with—let me clear my throat—Black Moon up in this piece and DJ Evil Dee billed as the evening’s musical conductor. Homie DJ Manzo will take care of the beats and special guests include Velvet Trench Vibes, BluRum 13, DShade and Side C.

Not too far away, at Théâtre Telus, we got the Left Coast underground end of the spectrum represented with Oakland’s own Souls of Mischief rocking the crowd as part of the AM Getting Laid afterparty, alongside DJ Dom Rocket and 4th Pyramid, who will be performing with big brother Simahlak.

Tuesday night, free Ninja Tune party at the Terrasse St-Ambroise next to the canal (5080 St-Ambroise) until midnight with Ghostbeard and Poirier. Boom!
