Fresh and clean: Environmental Graffiti is sort of a blog about nature, but mostly the weird bits of nature that make you glad you have windows that close and doors that lock—like creepy fruits and vegetables that look like they could defeat you in unarmed combat, and the 30 creepiest clouds that look like UFOs, fish and Margaret Thatcher’s face, guaranteed to make you work from home that day, and great photos of reverse graffiti, mural art created by wiping grime off of tunnel walls. Be the coolest science nerd anyone knows at environmentalgraffiti.com.
Youppi! Forty years ago, the Montreal Expos played their first season as a professional baseball team. Now the only thing that really remains of our former major league franchise is a lot of kids from Laval rocking Expos logo hats. But for those bitter old-timers for whom the logo represents more than representing, the city of Montreal’s archive department put up a series of photos from the ’spos’ first regular season game, back in 1969. Home run at bit.ly/expos.
