CUT TO
THE CHASE

Dirty old man: Two words. Benny. Hill. In the annals of humour (and what’s funnier than the word “annal”?) his name stands alone—who else but a rotund Englishman in underwear could make chasing bikini girls in a speeded-up pseudo-Edwardian countryside setting so utterly hilarious and rivetting? Or maybe what’s truly side-splitting is American studio saxophonist Boots Randall’s high-energy instrumental hit “Yakety Sax.” The Benny Hillifier speeds up any YouTube video you choose, and overdubs it with that bimbo-chasingest of theme tunes, so anything can become hilariously sexist at james.nerdiphythesoul.com/bennyhillifier/.

How high? Secret’s out—celebrities are short. But how short? Ben Stiller, Tom Cruise, Robin Williams, Mike Myers—they’re all about 5’7”. Woody Allen’s 5’5” and Seth Green? Practically a midget. It’s all well-documented at CelebHeights, a site popular with people who get their photos taken with celebrities to find out how tall they really are. There’s even a database of how much height certain sneakers add—all in pursuit of science—at celebheights.com.
