“Yo, are you trying to make your cell phone climax?” “Dude, I’m twittering.” “Oh yeah, word… no doubt… wait… why?” “Man, get with the times. It’s what’s hot on the streets right now.” After some quick fieldwork on what’s hot on the streets, I was told that Twitter is basically a “status update” Web site where people can read what is on your mind at any given moment—and in 140 characters. No cover. And big homie Maysr is taking the front seat at the Dub Lounge, Wednesday nights at Blizzarts, so be sure to go check it out for your weekly fix of proper reggae. Little bonus surprise this week. Since the one and only Big Daddy Kane is performing his 20-year Long Live the Kane anniversary tour next Friday at les Saints, we have a little contest going on for y’all. Two tickets to the show for the first person to answer this, and an Endigee limited edition BDK t-shirt for the second: Which famous Brooklyn DJ was the first person to discover Big Daddy Kane?
