TRAINBUILDING

Hit the bricks: Local Flickr photog KellerGraham is a little bit obsessed with public transit, an honourable trait that he celebrates not merely with photos of buses from around the Montreal region (and as far afield as Ottawa and Cornwall) but also by replicating STM buses and metro rolling stock in the blocktacular medium of LEGO. Now, LEGO never made a set of the Préfontaine metro station, but if they had, it could never look as good as KellerGraham’s, complete with what appears to be a Stormtrooper looking over the passe-rail at flickr.com/photos/kellergraham/.

Car wars: A while back, a blogger named Tamerlane wondered, “What kind of cars do various heads of state drive (and get driven around in)?” So he did a little research, and via the power of the net, found out the vehicle preference of 196 world leaders. The tally? Mostly S-Classes, some Land Cruisers and a few oddballs, like Tongan King Siaosi Tupou V’s London Taxi and Peru’s pimped-out ’72 Chrysler Imperial ragtop, with photos, at karakullake.blogspot.com.
