Damn right

READ IT
AND PUKE

When not calling Al Gore a fag, oiling shotguns or choosing the right LBD with which to doll up her irrelevance, far-right trailer gal Ann Coulter puts her spindly fingers to work writing. And with every word, a bit more idiocy is revealed, as is the case in her latest tome, in which she defends the Council of Conservative Citizens—a coalition of right-wingnut activists who like their friends clearly on the white side.

Formed by the same inbreds behind the White Citizens Council, a segregationist movement spawned following the 1954 Brown vs the Board of Education ruling, the CCC has much in common with that other white supremacist group eight letters down the alphabet. But to Coulter, the CCC’s Web site, laden with confederate flags and anti-immigrant sentiment, and offering newsletters warning against threats posed by the “mixed-race individual” Obama and opinion pieces calling black people a “retrograde species of humanity” add up to “no evidence” the CCC has racism at its heart.

Despite widespread condemnation, or possibly because of it, the book’s sales have hit uncomfortable highs; the only possible bright spot being that, in tying herself to an entity even Republicans have steered clear of, Coulter may soon find herself back on the bottom she feeds from.
