THAT’S
ENTERTAINMENT!

Hollywood ending: British animator Harry Partridge makes the kind of movies that you have the patience to watch—they’re under two minutes, have a surprise twist ending and some combination of painful awkwardness, gory death scenes and naughty language. The latest is an American remake of Akira that plays up cringing awfulness to a level rarely seen in a two-minute animated motion picture by giving Kaneda and co. a Scooby-Doo-style “let’s get ’em gang” chirpiness at www.youtube.com/user/HarryPartridge.

Something good: A Little Bit on the Awesome Side lives up to its name. This blog and online TV show covers all the essential geek food groups—Animal Crossing, Japanese snack food, Family Guy and awesome gadgets like a Darth Vader toaster that imprints the Dark Lord of the Sith on every slice, Jesus-style, and an alarm clock that shoots off a tiny helicopter that you have to catch before it shuts off—plus sexy Nintendo lingerie at albotas.com.
