Economu made no secret of leaving with the foot and did bring it to hospital days later when her supervisors mentioned she might have done something wrong, but it was far too late for doctors to attempt reattachment. Although Economu does train dogs to find decomposing human flesh, her supervisor couldn’t confirm what she “was going to use this specific foot for.” She has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
