Surely it’s a gross misunderstanding of youth culture to believe that the way to win over a classroom of rowdy teens is by flashing the tired teats of the fat man. But for a Suffolk, England, schoolteacher, desperation got the upper hand. Having threatened to flash his “man-boobs” if the 13- and 14-year-olds in his class didn’t settle down, a 53-year-old teacher at Sudbury Upper School and Arts College lived up to his threat—and chest flab.

According to one of his students, the teacher, Martin Rouse, having reached wit’s end, told the class “to be quiet or he would take his shirt off and show his man-boobs.”

“He was quite overweight,” said the pupil. “It was a sight that nobody really wanted to see.” But the students carried on and the shirt came off.

Despite uproarious laughter, several students maintained enough composure to capture the incident on their cell phone cameras, and by the end of the day, footage had hit the Internet as well as the head teacher’s office. Rouse was asked to pack his tits and leave the premises immediately. A council spokesperson said the teacher won’t face further disciplinary action, but also won’t be teaching in Suffolk again.
