Old bikes don’t die. They are refitted and go to the developing countries, where they drastically improve life for those unlucky enough to live far from jobs, markets or potable water, thanks to Cyclo Nord-Sud. Last weekend, the local organization, along with Right to Move, a pro-bike activist organization, hosted the city’s first Artistic Bicycle Exposition at its warehouse in Little Italy, featuring tricked out bikes, bike sculptures, restored bikes, classic touring bikes and more, and all for sale. All profits, as well as those from beer and smoothie sales, went to help Cyclo Nord Sud.
