Monster mash-up
|
Asplode! Random Defense is a fiendishly addictive take on tower defence games. The premise is simple. There’s a meandering path. Monsters show up at the beginning and follow the path to the exit, when they presumably go on to attack and destroy whatever it is you’re defending—and you lose a life. You build different kinds of artillery units to defend the path, which you pay for by asploding monsters that get faster, stronger and larger in numbers as you go up in levels. It’s kind of like SimCity meets Lemmings, but much more violent and blow-uppy. Be prepared to waste time egregiously at arcade.itch.com/games/random-defense/. Art-ic Circle: weheartit is like the Digg for visual art on the Internet. Participants scour the Web for eye-tickling visuals, then heart them. You’ll discover new illustrators, new photographers, new styles and new t-shirts to expensively mail order from Belgium. And if you like it, you can heart it too. Get a new perspective at www.weheartit.com.
