Midnight Rider: Keep your eyes wide open all the time—I Ride the Line is a collection of movies created using Line Rider. What’s Line Rider? It’s a sort of free-form experimental game where you create roller-coaster-like tracks (lines) for a little guy to slide down on a sled-tricycle thing. It’s all based on gravity, so it’s easy to make him stop or topple over into the abyss. The point, however, is not to maim the little dude, but rather to create graceful looping forms using only Newton’s three laws. The mind-expanding results, set to atmospheric music, are well worth watching at www.iridethelines.com. Mañana! You may have seen Picnicface’s Powerthirst videos on CollegeHumor, but did you know there’s lots more madness where that crystal-meth-in-a-can-fuelled rampage came from? Or that they’re from Halifax? Or that they’re rapping vampires? Or that they, uh, deer-shank elderly bingo players? No, really, they actually do at www.picnicface.com. Comments? mikecitrome@yahoo.com |
