Damn right

The Hussein factor

It would be interesting to know if, to Iowa Republican Congressman Steve King, all Husseins also look alike. He certainly seems to think they at least view one another as cut from the same kufi, and had no problem saying so in explaining why he believed radical Islamists would “declare victory in this war on terror” if the American people elect Barack Obama to the White House.

Speaking to an Iowa radio host, King, who is known for defending such American values as cockfighting and torture, prefaced his comments by saying he would never want to “disparage anyone for their race, their ethnicity, their name—whatever religion their father might have been.” And then he did just that. King explained that Obama’s middle name, Hussein, has a “special meaning” to Islamists. Coupled with the Muslim heritage of Obama’s father, King warned that electing Obama President would send al-Qaeda supporters “dancing in the streets in greater numbers than they did on September 11.”

Although he has brushed off the resulting criticisms, King promised to “apologize to everyone in America” should an Obama win not result in dancing Islamists.
