Damn right

R is for Rape

When finally some cleaning crew is called in to sterilize the Oval Office of Bush’s filth, they can expect to find semen splashed alongside the blood and dung in which the current administration has spent its time marinating. And, this being Halliburton/KBR semen, the White House sees no reason to bother itself with an investigation. Having been given a December 21 deadline to respond to questions concerning the gang rape of former Halliburton/KBR employee Jamie Leigh Jones, the State, Justice and Defense Departments have all apparently chosen to ignore the incident.

Jones says she was raped by several KBR co-workers while in Iraq, then held prisoner in a shipping container until being rescued by agents from the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. When news of her ordeal hit the press in December, Senator Bill Nelson (D-Fla.) wrote Condoleeza Rice looking for answers on Jones’s case, as well as how many similar reports are known of and how they’d been investigated.

According to Jones, at least 11 other women suffered similar attacks by Halliburton/KBR staffers. Two years after her assault, the Justice Department has brought no charges and, with their repeated showing of contempt for providing information, it seems none will be forthcoming.
