Sexy beast

The dromedary camel has one hump. The Bactrian camel has two. But the camel with lust in his heart bears the cruelest hump of all, and for the Brisbane, Australia, woman who caught such a camel’s affections, the result was the sort of death that makes the weak-bellied cringe.

According to Detective Senior Constable Craig Gregory, the unnamed 60-year-old woman “had a love of exotic pets.” Apparently her 10-month-old male camel—a gift she’d received for her 60th birthday—loved her right back. After the fact, her husband said the camel had been looking a little randy of late, and had taken to straddling the family goat. But then the camel got a little hot for a more mature, worldly mate and, on an otherwise normal Sunday at the sheep and cattle ranch, made his move. The 150-kg camel knocked the woman to the ground, lay atop her and began working his camel mojo. The woman was crushed to death.

The fate of the camel is unknown.
