Man bites dog

Slice of sex offender life

Throw together a trio of sex offenders, including a one-legged samurai, and someone’s bound to get killed. In this case, 25-year-old Lee Alexander, whose only mistake was falling in love with Jacqueline Tarpley. That and committing an undisclosed “lewd and lascivious act” in his teen years. But Jacqueline didn’t judge. She, along with her now-estranged amputee husband Willie, had been convicted for her role in the 1987 kidnapping and sexual torture of a 21-year-old woman.

According to Brandon, Florida, police reports, Willie discovered Alexander’s name in a sex offender registry and became enraged. He drove to his former home, retrieved a Katana from his collection of weapons in the garage, barged into the house and told Lee if he didn’t leave he would be beheaded. In his haste to flee, Lee backed into Willie’s Corvette.

There followed an argument and a witness says Willie jabbed Alexander with the sword while emphasizing a point. Seems the point was made; Alexander fell down dead. Realizing what he’d done, Willie collapsed in tears. Police came and dragged his weeping ass off to jail.
