Man bites dog

Family getaway

According to a 27-year-old Milwaukee, Wisconsin, man, his plan was to give his old man a cash reward for being “a good Samaritan.” What remains a mystery is whether or not the son’s admiration for his father is based solely on dad’s willingness to drive getaway.

According to lawmen, the father drove his son to an area bank and waited while his son ran in to rob the place. With a description of the son from tellers and a shot of the getaway vehicle taken from a parking lot surveillance camera, it wasn’t long before the duo were pulled over. But dad wasn’t going to go that easily. He assured police he’d known nothing of his son’s sinful task and had only dropped him at the bank to use the bathroom.

Officers queried the man on why he thought a bank made a better rest stop than the gas station, and dad soon crumbled under their superior reasoning. He admitted his role and explained his son was inspired to commit the crime from stories he’d recounted about another robbery he’d committed in 1995.
