Birth of tragedy: Bill Keane’s long-running Family Circus comic strip is without a doubt the most unfunny non-sequitur you’re likely to find in a daily newspaper outside of coverage of the war on terror. The Nietzsche Family Circus takes a random comic and replaces the caption with an equally random quote from the works of German philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche. The result is often chillingly coherent. Keep refreshing to fulfill your recommended daily requirement of nihilism at www.losanjealous.com/nfc/. I fought the law: Want to get lyrics to a song without having to subject yourself to spyware, pop-ups and noisy banner ads? LyricWiki, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like, has over 200,000 pages of lyrics. You’ll find everything from Abba to Zappa, with pretty good accuracy—no “Excuse me while I kiss this guy” in “Purple Haze.” Plus it’s free, with no ads.
