Phoney baloney

Next best thing: It’s not a joke. On April 1, the German city of Solingen became home to the Museum Plagiarius, a shrine to fakes, counterfeits, bootlegs and knockoffs, displayed alongside the better-quality authentic versions. And it’s more than just Gucci Air Force 1s—there are the expected shoddy Chinese versions of high-priced designer goods, but also the work of predatory companies who create low-price look-alikes of costly products (think Zara) and the downright scary—a Chinese-made copy of a German gas pump nozzle, identical right down to the package, except the innards. Get blown away at http://images.businessweek.com/ss/07/03/0330_plagiarism/index_(...)s.

Mouse candy: Skywire is an addictive little Flash game with retro Sega Master System graphics that has you guide a little cable car full of hapless passengers through a dangerous sky-scape of bomb-dropping birds, robotic butterflies and parachuting pandas controlling nothing but the brakes at www.miniclip.com/games/skywire/en/.
