Time out YUL

Game on: Feeling bored? Need to take a little break? Tired of losing at Minesweeper? The Interweb offers myriad possibilities for wasting your time, but the Game Homepage distills them down to a great launch point. Dozens of flash games in a bunch of categories, all of which you can download, figure out and start playing in seconds. It’s no PS3, but for free, momentary entertainment, you can do a lot worse than www.thegamehomepage.com.

Of Vice and men: VBS is one of those in-the-know, cool-kids-only Web sites that doesn’t tell you much about what it is or who runs it, but any amateur detective worth his novelty belt buckle can figure out that it has something to do with Vice magazine, which is probably the sole entity worthy of the description “venerable” and “hipster.” There’re only teasers up now, but the footage of Kabul and Rio are a must-watch, and hopefully a sign of what’s to come at www.vbs.tv.
