It’s always good to come back to Montreal though, especially when Tony Toca is coming to town. That’s right, the one and only Tony Touch makes his way to Montreal once again for This week, DJ Lexis celebrates his birthday at his regular weekly throwdown at Blizzarts on Friday night, where, along with partner Jonah and a very special mystery guest, you can party like it’s 1999 on Oct. 20, 2006. He’ll also be giving away a few copies of his new mix What I’m Feeling Vol. 4. at the door, so make a move. Montreal gets another visit from living legend Afrika Bambaataa later this month when he plays a show at les Saints on Oct. 27. The Halloween party will never be the same if Afrika Bambaataa decides to dress the part. Can you imagine going out for Halloween dressed as yourself? Tix are only $17, so start thinking of your costume now. Montreal DJs/VJs White Label TV get it together this weekend with a party at Musée Juste Pour Rire featuring Baltimore club music pioneer Scottie B, alongside Ghislain Poirier, Pho King and Baltimore Craig. These guys have also invited system D-128, the guys behind videos and visuals for Madvillian, Blockhead and Diplo, so you know you’ll have some hot shit to zone out to while you’re shaking your ass.
