World of tomorrow!

Random fandom: People express their love of pop cultural phenomena in different ways. Some folks get tattoos of their favourite band, others wear unwashed jerseys day-in-and-out while their team is on a hot streak. Others dress up in homemade costumes and go to conventions. This guy custom-built a working Futurama pinball machine out of spare parts, toys and a Superman donor machine. The result is mind-blowingly awesome, complete with heads-in-jars, video screen and H.G. Blob. Bend it like Bender at members.aol.com/specialwhenlit/CustomPinball/.

Running joke: Alfred Matthew Yankovic, known to his legions of screaming fans as “Weird Al,” is about as astute a pop culture observer as the world has ever known—and his skill for taking the piss out of the coolest celebrities is as sharp as ever. Check out “White And Nerdy”, the first video from his new record, which is infinitely more interesting (and just as catchy) than the chamillionaire gangsta-pop ditty it parodies at www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6Zc9NyYH-k.
