Daddy’s on the drink again |
|
The only thing that could possibly make the scene of two sons beating up their drunk father more perfect is if it happened at some important family event, like a wedding. Luckily it did. James Pattin probably never thought that his own wedding day would also mark the day he thumped Pa. The 24-year-old Hamburg, N.J., man had already exchanged vows with his beloved and the reception was in full swing when he and his two brothers, concerned that their father, Raymond, had had too much wine, hid a bottle of wine their father had been hitting. When the youngest of the three told his father he’d been cut off, Raymond hit the 16-year-old. That’s when James and 19-year-old Richard swung into action. “My two sons beat me up,” Raymond, 53, told police when they arrived to investigate the disturbance. Police arrested the groom, his brother and father and charged the lot of them with domestic assault and battery. » Scott Saxon |
