Fans of the Icebox.com and Showtime series Queer Duck will undoubtedly want to screen the movie-length adventure, out this week on DVD. Yep, it’s pretty silly stuff: Queer Duck (voiced by camp icon Jim J. Bullock) is joined by his wacky friends, Bi-Polar Bear, Openly Gator and Oscar Wildcat as they navigate their way through a strange animated version of an America populated by flaming gay stereotypes and loony homophobes. There are indeed some sublimely stupid gags here, not too surprising given the CV of creator-writer Mike Reiss (he’s a Simpsons alum). But Queer Duck definitely works best in its original format: short and sweet. Luckily, many of those shorts appear here as extras.

The second (and final) season of The Time Tunnel, Irwin Allen’s inspired bit of sci-fi camp, has arrived on DVD as well. With its ludicrous premise, kitschy art direction and three sexy stars (Robert Colbert, James Darren and Lee Meriwether), how could this show have ended? I vote for taking the time machine back and stopping its cancellation! —Matthew Hays
