The Olympic champ on a few of his favourite
Montreal things

by MARK TEWKSBURY

1. Go for a walk up the mountain. Doesn’t cost a thing, and gives you a great view and sense of the city.

2. Taking the four for $40 dinner special at la Montée de Lait (371 Villeneuve E.). Incredible value and a party for the taste buds.

3. Sunset at the Sculpture Park on the Lachine Canal. Serene and romantic.

4. Swim outdoors at Île Ste-Hélène. One subway stop from the village and you are in outdoor water park heaven.

5. Having a chocolate or ice cream from Studio 88 (372 Crémazie E.). Simple pleasures with a punch.

6. Flirting on Ste-Catherine. Always in style.

7. Take a coffee break at Café Olimpico (124 St-Viateur W.).

8. Check out the gardens in Old Montreal while taking a stroll through history.

9. Dim Sum in Chinatown off St-Laurent.

10. The opening and closing ceremonies of the Outgames! Fabulous shows not to be missed.
