Hot Hot Heat: Marty Anstey is a guy from Vancouver who builds weather stations, writes poetry and rates hot sauces—a veritable renaissance man. His Web site has reviews of over 60 designer hot sauces, including scores based on heat, flavour and “rating”—not sure what that last one is, but Mart’s a guy who knows his hot sauce, and he took the time to photograph all the little bottles. Check it out, make a shopping list and don’t forget the Zantac at http://marty.anstey.ca/hobbies/hotsauce/. W2: We’ve all seen the mash-ups of Family Guy as Lord of the Rings, or the Ninja Turtles as The Big Lebowski, but here’s one that’s actually a little bit subversive—a beautiful, music-video-style, perfectly synced presentation of U.S. President George Dubya singing U2’s “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” in his own strung-together-from-speeches voice. Brilliant. See another side of the man Hugo Chavez calls “Little Bush” at http://tinyurl.com/lsrfu. Comments? Michael Citrome |
