Man bites dog

Get it at the source

While it may be true that cops and politicians have the best dope, a woman in Fargo, North Dakota, made the wrong choice from that menu when she had a hankering for a bit of herb. Still, at least she had the good manners to phone ahead.

Grace Sium, a 20-year-old North Dakota State U junior, called the West Fargo Police inquiring as to where she might be able to score herself some pot. The station dispatcher repeatedly explained that the sale and possession of marijuana was illegal, but Sium would not be dissuaded. Finally, the dispatcher said she could come down to the station and buy some out of the evidence locker. To everyone’s surprise, Sium showed up about 40 minutes later.

Officer Ken Zeeb says the stunned dispatcher announced Sium’s arrival to him over an intercom with the words, “You know what? She’s here. She just handed me $3 for marijuana.” Zeeb made his way to the front desk and arrested the woman. She faces charges of criminal attempt and possession of drug paraphernalia.
