Whatever the argument actually was about, one can be fairly certain it had nothing to do with the political and moral implications of Goethe’s Faust. Judging from the outcome, it probably was more along the lines of, “Who ate my waffle?” All police can say is that brothers Wesley and Watson Hall, aged 19 and 21 respectively, had a falling out and decided to settle it by firing shotguns at one another. In a testament to their own stupidity, neither was shot. Haines Falls, New York, police were called to the Hall home early that morning with reports of shots being fired within. On their arrival, Watson was roaming about outside and gave himself up. Police then phoned the house and spoke to Wesley, who then came out, hands in the air. The only injuries either sustained were caused “from the glass that was in the house after their little escapades.” Both are sitting in jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. They face charges of reckless endangerment and menacing and criminal possession of a firearm. » Scott Saxon |
