Last Sunday’s Philadelphia Outfest was just another alternative lifestyles event, complete with gays, lesbians and Christian-right protestors. The Life and Liberty Ministries could have been just another extremist group, until one visits their Web site to find “Let’s hate in the name of Jesus” literature brought to new lows.

lifeandlibertyministries.com takes visitors on a wild ride through such articles as Patrick Johnston’s “Convincing Reasons Homosexuals are Hellbound.” Argued with convincing exclamation-pointed upper case, the article explains that, “The rectum was not designed for penile penetration, a fist, a bottle, a gerbil, nor was the tongue designed for the anus.”

Apparently keeping one’s whole head up there is no problem. Johnston offers a Vagina vs. Rectum breakdown, heavily weighted toward his favourite hole. He also claims homosexuals are violent, asserting that “Leading serial killers are all homosexuals!!!”

Johnston also explains homosexuality in the animal kingdom: “Some animals like sheep do engage in homosexual behaviour,” he writes. “However, this would only suggest that homosexuals have the IQ of a sheep.” Lord have mercy.
