Liking the old

16-bit: Raiden-X is a tribute to those awesome early-’90s space shooter games where it was a top-down battle between you, a tiny jelly bean-like spaceship and literally zillions of laser-spewing enemies. The weapons are awesome, from massively destructive bombs you need to ration out to enormous targeting lasers that almost fill up the whole screen. And the soundtrack pumps you up with turbo-charged bleeps and blops and lots of Nintendo-style bass. Scratch your trigger finger at www.flashplayer.com/games/raidenx_movie.php.

Musical values: Stacks and stacks of red hot wax—do you have old records at home that you’re sure are worth something? The rule is one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, if those men are connected by eBay. Popsike is an archive of eBay auction results for rare records. Type in the name or artists and, if it’s listed, you’ll know how much it went for. But don’t count your chickens: if you flood the market, prices will go down. Better hold on to your Ginette Reno albums after checking www.popsike.com.
