Man bites dog

E-i-e-i-no

When you’re so hungry you could eat a cow, make sure it’s your own cow. Five Angola, Indiana, men accused of killing and removing the legs of another man’s Holstein might be learning that the hard way.

According to prosecutors, Scott Michael Wooster and Perry Dominguez spent the day drinking, then met five pals and decided they should “get a cow.” Jeremy Maguire knew where some were, and they were off, stopping at a liquor store beforehand. At the farm, Maguire allegedly shot a cow with his bow and arrow, causing it to charge. The men were then said to have chased the fleeing cow; another arrow was launched and the cow went down. When Terry Penick found his cow, it had multiple stab wounds, a slit throat and was missing an esophagus and four legs. Court documents allege the men took the legs home and ate them.

All have pleaded not guilty. Police also charged one minor and are looking for a sixth suspect.
