Networthy

Real fakes, honestly

Cinema not-so-vérité: When you buy pirate DVDs on the street, don't be surprised when the back of your hot copy of Batman Begins presents a review of the 1993 Barry Sonnenfeld classic Addams Family Values, or proudly announces on the front that it stars Johnny Knoxville and Bea Arthur - these pirate-types aren't that into accuracy. This Flickr group presents photos of some of the crappiest bootleg DVD artwork, culled straight from the streets - like the copy of Crouching Tiger Didden Dragon with the credits from The Untouchables - at http://flickr.com/groups/crappybootlegs/.

Car hop: Want to make your Beetle look like a Bentley, or your Fiero into an ersatz Ferrari? A kit car can make all your exotic dreams come true, providing you don't mind starting with a UPS truck dropping off a bunch of boxes of fibreglass in front of your garage with a screwdriver and an instruction booklet. Kit Car Magazine offers a directory of kit manufacturers. Just don't mention what's under the skin when you go cruising at www.kit-cars.com.
