If you’re a fan of The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou suffering from Bill Murray fever, the digital release of Where the Buffalo Roam (1980) may be just the cure. A young Murray plays Hunter S. Thompson in this somewhat muddled film, for extreme enthusiasts of the former SNL star only. Apparently, the pill-popping gonzo journalist was less than flattered by his portrayal, preferring Johnny Depp’s depiction in 1998’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Well, we’re already four weeks into 2005 and drummer Lars Ulrich hasn’t made several million in merchandising. The Metallica: Some Kind of Monster collector’s edition will surely remedy this injustice. The doc, which follows the heavy metal band through two years of group therapy, gets an additional 40 minutes, as well as exclusive interviews with Ulrich—and we all know how hard it is to get the Napster outer to say what’s on his mind. Highlights include Mega-douche lead singer Dave Mustang tearing up about getting kicked out of the band months before it became a multi-million-dollar empire. » Sarah Rowland
