Night of the Driving Dead

Funeral cars: We sure have some funny rituals involving automobiles and the dead on this little planet of ours. There's a whole craft industry based on vehicles for transferring stiffs from the chapel to the boneyard. So some German guy named Al has collected photos of all kinds of funeral cars - like Japanese Lincolns with a gilded pagoda built on the back and a Winnebago that can carry a casket and 14 mourners. While you're there, check out Soviet limos and bootleg Hummers from China at http://mitglied.lycos.de/albeyer/.

867-5309: You probably thought about dialling it - and if you were a 13-year-old at a 1980s bar mitzvah party, you probably did. Well, over the Christmas holidays last year, this Dan guy attempted to call 867-5309 in every North American area code. Sure, a lot of the numbers didn't work. No, he didn't get to talk to Jenny. Save yourself the trouble at http://danstheman.com/Jenny.htm.
