JFK: Simulation-type computer games are pretty popular. They put you in the role of a mayor, an ant, a theme park tycoon - and one of the world's most notorious presidential assassins, Lee Harvey Oswald. Making headlines this week is JFK Reloaded, a new game from Scottish software developer Traffic, which puts you up on the sixth floor of the Texas book depository, with a rifle, a scope and a will to kill. You score points for replicating Oswald's shots - and lose them for hitting Jackie, the driver, getting up to pee and missing the motorcade, etc. It's a conspiracy at www.jfkreloaded.net. Ski bum: If you ski, you probably want to know which runs are good, which ones are covered in jagged, face-chewing ice and which ones are more lawn than ski hill. Sure, you can check on the Web, but why not get that information sent to your cell phone for free? Why not indeed! That's exactly what RubberSNOW does. Customize the listings to your taste, and you'll always have an excuse to stay in the chalet with the honeys at www.rubbersnow.com. Comments? Michael Citrome |
