Man bites dog

Half-baked attempt

When first making the leap into the world of crime, it's imperative every gang of petty thieves have at least one member who takes on the role of The Brain. The Brain will come up with the ideas and position other members in the roles best suited to them. Quite clearly, the thieves that tried to help themselves to the contents of a Worcester, England, ATM lacked that integral team member. Instead, they were left believing that a good way to get paper money out of a machine was with fire.

The still-at-large perps broke into a filling station and tried to gain access to their loot with a blowtorch. Astoundingly, the open flame set the ATM on fire along with the cash it housed. Police assume that this was about the time when the criminal masterminds abandoned their plan and ran off. Police have no suspects but are hoping witnesses to the act come forward.
